The founder and head of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, is purportedly heard making threats against the incumbent Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare, in an alleged audio tape that has emerged.
Threatening comments against the IGP are made in the released recording, which blames recent arrests and alleged mistreatment for the threats.
In the recording, Prophet Owusu Bempah highlights the sacrifices made to ensure President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s victory and claims to have played a big part in the election.
He shockingly claims that some people experienced fatal injuries, severe accidents, and amputations as a result of their sacrifices. In addition to expressing his determination to avenge the alleged abuse he endured during his imprisonment and the supposed assassination plot, the controversial man of God also threatened IGP Dampare that he would regret accepting the post.
Prophet Owusu Bempah is heard in the recording that was released directing an unnamed individual to carry his word to Dampare.
The directives urge Dampare to speak with media personality Captain Smart about Owusu Bempah’s actions and sacrifices prior to Akufo-Addo’s presidency, as well as to ask specific questions about past interactions with President Akufo-Addo and the relationship between Owusu Bempah and the president’s wife.
Akufo-Addo’s ascent to the presidency, according to Prophet Owusu Bempah, would not have occurred without his assistance.
He claims that because of his efforts, the president had to return to Ghana while hiding some of his foreign activities. The prophet also said that because of the way Dampare treated him, he and Dampare are now heading in the same direction.

Tell Dampare that Akufo-Addo is aware of my contributions to his success and that he is beginning to feel the strain now that I have begun making noise. Inform Dampare that I am claiming he would regret taking up the position of IGP and that he will regret what I will do to him in Ghana. Let him know that without me, Akufo-Addo would not have been able to win the presidency. Tell him that someone’s limb was severed because Akufo-Addo was elected president. Ask him whether he was there when I met with Akufo-Addo about the time someone’s automobile somersaulted on the Tema Motorway. Ask him whether he is aware of my friendship with Akufo-Addo.
“Ask him about the day Aunty Ama Busia and Mrs. Akufo-Addo visited me. Dampare was then positioned where? Tell Dampare to get in touch with Captain Smart and inquire about Owusu Bempah’s activities prior to Nana Addo taking office. Does he believe Nana Addo’s presidency was straightforward? Does he realize what we gave up? Because of it, Maame Gladys Asmah passed away, necessitating the amputation of Maama Ama Busia’s leg. I can tell him about the things in this nation if he wants to hear them.
“Akufo-Addo did not win the election to the presidency lightly. Maame Gladys Asmah passed away as a result of Akufo-Addo’s presidency; if someone hadn’t passed away, Akufo-Addo wouldn’t have been elected. Does he know about our covert actions? Akufo-Addo has called a meeting of NPP officials to urge them to beg me. He was out of the country, and I forced him to halt his plans and come back to Ghana. He was unaware of what Dampare had done to me or how Kofi Boakye, him, and I had been pursued.
Tell Dampare that he has met his equal, and let him know that he will see what I do to him. Akufo-Addo never would have become president if it weren’t for me. Akufo-Addo was to blame for a young man named Albert’s automobile somersaulting on the Tema Motorway as he collected NPP supporters to approach me. They had to hack the automobile in order to get his corpse out because it was that bad.
Do you realize how much Akufo-Addo has caused me to suffer? Inform him that Owusu Bempah has gotten in touch with you and that I will cause him to depart this nation (Ghana) by doing something to him. Inform him that the two of us are uncontrollable in Ghana. And tell him I’ll prove to him that I elevated Akufo-Addo to the position of president before appointing him as the IGP. Also, tell him that he cannot hurt me in any manner, not even by killing me. Let him laugh, and then he will understand what I am capable of.
“Tell him that the manner in which he and Victor Kusi Boateng planned to assassinate me in Kumasi will never be forgiven by me in this world. I have every piece of knowledge. I’m sending you this email as a result. Tell him I’ve already informed Chairman Wontumi and Ernest Owusu Bempah. Even worse, Chairman Wontumi doesn’t return my calls.
