Dr. Gideon Boako, the vice president’s spokesman, has reacted to Isaac Adongo, a lawmaker from Bolgatanga Central, who requested a discussion on the economy.
Dr. Boako made it plain that Dr. Bawumia prefers to debate John Dramani Mahama over Adongo and that he is willing to do so.
On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, Dr. Gideon Boako said to press in Accra, “The Minority should debate the Majority, Vice President Bawumia is going to challenge John Mahama. He prefers to debate John Mahama over Adongo. Adongo ought to visit the parliament to debate his fellow members. Adongo and the Minority will not be the subject of a debate by Vice President Bawumia.
Dr. Boako also highlighted his desire to see Vice President Bawumia and former President Mahama engage in a face-to-face discussion on their respective political careers and economic performance, according to 3news.com. With assurance, Dr. Boako stated, “That debate I can assure you we are ready for.”
In reaction to Isaac Adongo’s assertion that Vice President Bawumia hasn’t made any notable achievements during his six years in government, Dr. Gideon Boako made the following comments.
Adongo also noted that the Vice President’s attention has switched away from the economy and toward the subject of digitization, which he asserted was built upon the framework established by the previous NDC administration.
He told reporters on Wednesday, June 21 in Parliament, “We created the biggest capacity data center to ensure that the Ghana.gov project, which was to computerize government function, had a place for data safety and for data storage.
Dr. Bawumia, you can only dream of digitalization without this infrastructure, Isaac Adongo continued.
