Moses Armah-Parker, president of Medeama SC, has urged all interested parties to back Kurt Okraku, head of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in his efforts to further modernise the sport in Ghana.
In October of this year, Mr. Okraku’s term as FA chief will come to a close.
Mr. Armah Parker, a former member of the Black Stars management committee, acknowledges that his current position as FA President is not simple, but he is certain that he can improve things with the help of club owners and other stakeholders.
“Kurt Okraku is making great strides. He told Adom FM that despite the difficulties of his position as FA President, he deserves praise for the administrative steps and efforts he has done.
Kurt Okraku deserves the backing of every club owner. Let’s give him some feedback on how we believe he can improve. Since we can’t just start again, everyone needs to do their share.
“His second term will be better,” he remarked.
Mr. Okraku, who has stated his intention to run again, is likely to face opposition from George Afriyie, a former vice president of the GFA, and Kojo Yankah, a former chairman of the Western Regional FA.
Meanwhile, in the 2023–24 CAF Champions League’s first round of preliminary games, Medeama SC will face off against Remo Stars FC of Nigeria.
