Nicholas Osei, also known as Prophet Kumchacha, founded Heaven’s Gate Ministries and has spoken out against the controversy surrounding Asantewaa, a prominent figure on the video sharing platform TikTok.
On July 22, 2023, Asantewaa and her brother came under fire online when it was claimed that the Tiktoker had shared naked photos of a woman with whom her brother had a romantic relationship.
It was rumoured that the victim, a woman, was still in a relationship with Asantewaa’s brother despite his efforts to discontinue it.
As a result, the woman began making threats towards Asantewaa and her brother, and in an effort to silence them, Asantewaa decided to publish the woman’s nude photos online.
Many internet users expressed their disapproval of the Tiktoker after seeing the revealing photos, with Prophet Kumchacha being one of the few to speak out against Asantewaa.
Asantewaa had no right to share those photos about the lady on social media, the man of God said, regardless of what the woman had done to the Tiktoker.
He went on to say that the lady’s future was doomed due to her actions since the internet never forgets and that damaging posts may be retrieved at any moment.
He told his sister, “Asantewaa, you know you are my sister and I like you very much but what you did was wrong,” on Onua Tv’s Biribi Gyegyea Wo, presented by Monagucci. This is because the woman’s future is hopeless after such a tragedy. When information is shared on a site like social media, you can remove it, but someone else will still have a copy.
He continued, “In the future, when this girl grows up and things begin to work well for her, then someone will just go and retrieve the pictures which will go against her.”
The Prophet Kumchacha went on to add that it is illegal in Ghana to distribute someone else’s nude photo, and that those who do so risk losing their freedom and their possessions if they don’t take precautions.
‘Sometimes, some individuals are not aware that such an act is against the law of Ghana, and if you are not lucky, you may be incarcerated and furthermore, you might also lose all your belongings,’ he continued.
