The Board of Directors of Hearts of Oak’s Investigative Committee, which was constituted, is about to start looking into claims that several players engaged in bribery during the recently finished season.
The Board of Directors established a committee to look into the validity of allegations that some Hearts of Oak players took part in a manipulated game during the previous season.
The meeting will take place on Monday at the World Trade Center in Accra, according to reports.
Both witnesses and suspects will be required to appear before the committee.
Hearts of Oak finished the season in 12th position, which was disappointing.
Two board members—Justice Ivy Heward Mills and Dr. Nyaho Tama—along with a senior member of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and two legal experts make up the committee.
The committee’s goal is to properly investigate the bribery claims and ascertain the veracity of them. As a well-known football team, Hearts of Oak is dedicated to maintaining the fairness and integrity of the game.
The committee’s recommendations will be essential in dealing with any misbehavior and taking the necessary steps to protect the club’s reputation.
