Crystal Palace’s Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew has stressed the need of maintaining a consistent level of play in the forthcoming 2023/24 season.
With Roy Hodgson at the helm, the team overcame a rocky start to the previous season in the Premier League to finish in 11th place.
Ayew, who scored three of his season’s goals after Hodgson’s return and now has high hopes for the upcoming season, saw his performance improve after Hodgson’s return and believes hard effort will pay off in a big way.
He later spoke to the club’s website, saying, “We need to stay humble and keep on working hard because we know we have a lot of work if we want to be at the top.”
We recognise that there are areas of our play that require polishing, and that this will take time. The most critical factor is consistent strong play that demonstrates improvement over the course of the season.
In Saturday’s season opener against Sheffield United, Jordan Ayew will look to make a major impact for Crystal Palace.
