David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, a Nigerian Afrobeats artist, has opened up about his feelings following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
Despite the adversity, the superstar was able to complete his fourth studio album, “Timeless.”
While some fans expected Timeless to be filled with depressing tracks, Davido surprised them by including “bangers” instead.
Despite having overcome the trauma of his son’s loss, the OBO crooner revealed that he still sheds tears over it every morning.
He did, however, say that he must stay strong for his wife, Chioma, and those who believe in him.
“I miss him every day; tears come out of my eyes every morning; you don’t have to see it,” he said.
“Aside from it being about me,” I murmured to myself, “I know how many people love me, and I know how many people rely on me.”
“My son is looking down at me from up there.” Apart from being strong for his mother, which is my primary responsibility, I also need to be strong for the rest of the world.
“A lot of people thought the album would just be sad songs, but we gave them bangers after bangers.”
“My son is dancing in heaven, and my mother is also dancing in heaven.” So only God can demonstrate to individuals that it is possible to get back up and work.
“God is real, and that was one of the things on which my wife and I relied.” Everything basically went back into place after that; we performed better, and business is better.
