A worker for a company hired by Goldfields Ghana Foundation to construct Tarkwa’s T&A Stadium perished after falling from a considerable height.

The deceased, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly working on the stadium’s ongoing refurbishment and upgrading, which is being funded by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation.
Martin Preece, the CEO of Gold Fields, released a statement to proclaim the constructor’s demise.
“We regret to report a fatal event after a Gold Fields Ghana Foundation employee passed away from his injuries after suffering a fall from a height.
According to a portion of the statement, the contractor was working on the T&A Stadium in Tarkwa’s refurbishment and improvement, a project supported by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation for the benefit of our Tarkwa host community.
He also expressed his deepest thoughts and condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and coworkers, assuring them of his support during this trying time.
The CEO also mentioned in the statement that work has been put on pause while the issue is being investigated.
