Agya Koo, a well-known actor in Kumawood, has stated that he funded the project out of his own pocket following rumors that he received financial assistance from the NPP to build his new residence.
The actor told AngelFM in an interview that in order to establish clarity, people should check with their banks to see if any NPP officials moved money into his account.
Additionally, he has challenged any NPP politician to speak up if they have ever given him money for his new property.
“I created this initiative so that my kids won’t endure suffering one day by using my intellect and the wisdom God gave me. Verify the transaction’s location by checking with banks across the entire nation of Ghana. Check the location where the funds were wired into my account. Or did I get the cash and carry it from the Jubilee House to the residence on my head? Any powerful man who believes he gave me money to construct this mansion is welcome to talk. If they hear it, they might even laugh about it, he claimed.
“The structure was there in 2007, and even at the time I announced my support for the NPP, I had finished the house but hadn’t painted it. I’m not sure why people are spreading false information about me, he said.
Agya Koo also refuted claims that he had government contracts for the purchase of cocoa or the sale of fuel.
