On Thursday night, the U23 teams from Ghana and Egypt played a friendly international match and ended in a 1-1 draw.
Ahead of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the two national sides squared off in a friendly international encounter at the Alexandria Stadium.
After 10 minutes of today’s friendly, Ghana’s skipper Daniel Afriyie Barnieh put his team up 1-0 with a goal.
But just before halftime, the home team rallied and tied the score.
In the 28th minute, Ibrahim Adel scored to tie the game, and the teams went into halftime tied at one goal apiece.
The second-half performance from both national teams was impressive, but in the end, the 1-1 score was all that could be mustered.
