Ghanaians in Queens, an area of New York City in the United States of America, are said to be in shock following the suspected murder of a father by his young son.
There are currently little facts surrounding the incident, however the deceased is said to have been beaten to death at home by his young son after a misunderstanding.
However, a video posted to YouTube by the Oman Channel shows several members of the Ghanaian community in sadness as the body of the deceased man is carried away by authorities from the New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
“That’s my brother being led away.” Is that you, Noah? You’ve spent so much time abroad. May your soul find eternal peace… “May God be with you,” an Akan guy could be heard saying.
Another Ghanaian woman, overcome with emotion, remarked, “All I ask is for your spirit to deal with the person who did this to you.”
The incident is believed to have occurred in Queens on June 12, 2023.
This follows a recent event in Columbus, Ohio, in which a Ghanaian man committed suicide after shooting his wife.
Michael Amoako, 50, is reported to have shot his wife because she allegedly threatened to leave him to marry her ex-lover back in Ghana.
The dead left an audio recording of his grievances and final requests for his family.
His wife has been in intensive care since the event, when she sustained grave injuries.
