Joseph Amoah, CEO of the Love Enterprise and a prominent NPP member, has cautioned the party against designating Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the party’s presidential candidate.
He believed that by electing Freddie Blay, a former member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), as its chairman, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be making the same error.
On June 21, 2023, Amoah stated in an interview with Abusua FM that the NPP is currently in a horrible situation because to Freddie Blay, and that if Dr. Bawumia—who he identifies as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)—becomes its flagbearer, things will get even worse.
“We have experienced this before; we appointed a CPP official as our party’s chairman and watched what transpired. since you guys don’t pay attention to advise and you are appointing an NDC member to the party’s highest command.

The vice president cannot head the NPP since, according to the boss of Love Enterprise, he has no knowledge of it.
“You (Bawumia) were a member of the NDC and were there with your father; your mother even served as a leader for the party’s women; now that you have joined the NPP, you want to ascend to the position of highest leadership inside the organization. Have you ever heard something similar?” he said.
